Joanne Holbert, Ph.D. specializes in marriage and family
therapy. She is the founder of Family Connection of Wadsworth & Associates. She is licensed to practice as a marriage and family therapist and has worked extensively with families, couples, and individuals dealing with a variety of issues. She has received intensive training in medical family therapy and completed her internship in a hospital setting.
Dr. Holbert also a licensed school psychologist, a licensed professional clinical counselor, and holds multiple supervision credentials. Having worked with children and their families in the schools for nearly twenty years, she is adept in dealing with the difficulties facing today’s families. She has also instructed undergraduate and graduates in the counseling profession and continues to provide training and supervision to new therapists. She has been married to high school classmate, Michael, for forty years and they have four adult children and ten grandchildren.

Vicky offers therapy services for adults experiencing difficult relationships, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, women’s issues or life adjustment issues. She will work with you and alongside you to address whatever is causing difficulty. No issue is too small or big to address. Vicky is passionate about helping clients improve their quality of life and sense of well being. She is LGBTQ affirming and has years of experience working with diverse populations and works to provide a safe space for all clients.
Vicky also has 35 years of experience in the field of education and is especially suited to work with educators or anyone in the field of education. She has been licensed by the Ohio Counselor and Social Worker Board since 2002.

Damion Boyd
Damion Boyd is a native of Cleveland, OH where he attended and graduated from Benedictine High School as a Football and varsity member of the Wrestling teams. He achieved his undergraduate degree in Philosophy Pre-Law with a minor in Sociology and Early Childhood Education at the University of Akron. While attending Akron University he was a member of the Philosophy Club, the University Gospel Choir, and the intermural flag football program. Damion also attended Xavier University where he obtained a master’s degree in clinical counseling with some additional coursework in treating substance use disorders. He interned at Families First Health Services, Access Counseling services, and Cornerstone Psychological Services. At Cornerstone and Angel Intervention Services he worked with mental health and substance abuse clients. Currently at Family Connection of Wadsworth & Belinda J. Torres PHD, he sees clients on a weekly basis, maintaining his Professional Counselor licensure with the CSWMFT State Board.
Damion began his professional career in social services at the Cuyahoga County Dept. of Children & Family Services. Here he worked with children who were victims of abuse/neglect and their families in providing case management services necessary to keeping the family unit intact. He later went on to gain additional social service & mental health experience at Murtis H. Taylor Health & Human Services (his introduction to the mental health field). Working here with children and families addressing their behavioral and emotional needs. Damion acquired more extensive knowledge and skills working for various community mental health agencies. Overall, Damion Boyd has obtained over 17 years of social service/mental health experience addressing client’s needs and he continues to increase his educational and professional expertise.
Currently, Damion is a professionally trained counselor with the skills necessary to service diverse populations (assessing, diagnosing, treatment planning, counseling, case management, & additional services) in a clinical agency & a private practice setting. Damion is equipped to address client’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues in an outpatient and intensive outpatient environment. Damion has also served administratively as a Lead Case Manager, Team Leader, Training Director, Site Coordinator, and Program Director in the mental health field. He holds a License with the CSWMFT State Board as a Professional Counselor with a specialty in treating clients (couples, families, teens, and adults) who have mental health issues, family problems, and some substance abuse challenges. He is an ordained minister, devoted husband, and father who enjoys time with his family and friends. He also likes vacationing around the world with his wife and children. His personal hobbies are sports, comedy TV & radio, and exercising. He has excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a good sense of humor. He works well with others, is a team player, and likes training, teaching, and motivating others to achieve their highest standards.

FEES
The initial session is $200 and subsequent treatment sessions are $165. All sessions are 53 minutes long. Sliding scale fees can be arranged on an as need basis. Fees are expected at the beginning of each session.
